Visit the IBTA & OFA at Booth 4132
The IBTA is teaming up with the OpenFabrics Alliance (OFA) again this year to participate in several technical programs, collaborate with our members’ activities on the show floor and host a booth where we will be promoting I/O technology leadership. The IBTA and OFA will be highlighting RDMA’s continued growth in the HPC space and expansion into Enterprise, Cloud and other emerging markets and the leadership of both organizations and their members in delivering I/O-intensive application performance. The IBTA and OFA are continually driving application performance through rapid development of specifications and software that is addressing business demands, now and in the future.
Be sure to visit the IBTA and OFA at SC13 booth #4132 at the start of your walk throughout the exhibition. The booth will display our members’ announcements and theater schedules and will have maps to help you find your way. Additionally, representatives will be around the show floor giving presentations at members’ booths including Mellanox and Xyratex. You can check out the SC13 Exhibitor Floorplan here.
IBTA & OFA-hosted Technical Programs
IBTA and OFA members will participate in a panel discussion on RDMA: The Future of Scalable Applications, taking place Wednesday, November 20 at 1:30 p.m. Mountain Time. The panel, moderated by Bill Boas with the IBTA, will discuss how to bridge the gap between users of large scale machines and the providers of I/O architectures on which they are built. Panelists for this session include Rick Stevens, Argonne, Gary Grider, LANL, Sudip Dosanjh, NERSC and Paul Grun, Cray.
The OFA will be participating in the Emerging Technologies exhibit at booth #3547. This poster will provide application developers and the providers of open source middleware architectures and interfaces some ideas on how implementing a new framework of I/O APIs could increase performance and efficiency for classes of applications. These ideas will be further developed in the Birds of a Feather session, led by Paul Grun of Cray and Sean Hefty of Intel and sponsored by the OFA, Discussing an I/O Framework to Accelerate Improvements in Application I/O Performance. This session will provide direction for developers and end-users to enhance and drive forward the growth of open source I/O software. This program will take place on Thursday, November 21 at 12:15 p.m. Mountain Time.
Be sure to check out the SC13 Technical Programs schedule for more information on session content and logistics.
